What you can expect
Three simple steps to your new skin
Before Treatment
The provider will gently cleanse the skin. Topical anesthesia may be administered to ensure maximum comfort throughout the treatment.
During Treatment
Once the numbing cream has taken effect, the provider will gently pass SkinPen over the treatment area. As the tiny needles create micro-channels in the skin, patients typically feel light pressure and a mild buzzing sensation, with minimal discomfort. The treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes.
After Treatment
Most patients notice slight redness in the treated area, similar to a mild sunburn. Additional common treatment responses include dryness, tightness, and peeling. This is normal and should subside within 24 to 72 hours. Makeup and sunscreen can be applied 24 hours after treatment.
